We’re excited to announce that we’ve recently been approved for NHS frameworks in both England and Scotland.

It’s fantastic to be able to now work closer with the NHS and tick another box in terms of the quality and value of our outstanding range of products.

Did you know that…

Our Quality Assurance teams, comprise of engineers, scientists and QA/QC inspectors, continually monitor operations to ensure compliance with stringent international manufacturing and performance standards. To date, patents issued and patents pending for United Orthopedic Corporation’s value-rich arthroplasty products and instruments total more than 70.

United Orthopedic Corporation operates Quality Management Systems (QMS) that has been certified by BSI to ISO 13485. We not only hold the approvals from the CE Mark for European operations and FDA 510(k) approval for North American markets, but also several others around the globe.

UOC 3rd European Academy Conference a big success

On the 27th & 28th September we hosted our 3rd European Academy Conference in Cork where Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultant Jamie Griffiths from Basingstoke hospital presented us with new technologies in orthopaedics, including 3D printed custom implants for acetabular reconstruction.

Delegates were delighted with the content and agenda over the 2 days, and we look forward to hosting our next event in 2020!

UOC exhibit at BOA Annual Congress

UOC UK are excited to be appearing at the BOA Annual Congress 2019 which will be taking place at the ACC Liverpool from 10th-13th September.

The event which will run over four days will be packed with lectures, debates and discussion at the award-winning ACC Liverpool.

We’ll be showcasing our range of implants and instrument sets along with our award-winning U2 Knee AiO™ Block and Modular Disposable Trial™ (MDT) which earned use the Bronze award in the 21st Annual Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA). The U2 Knee AiO Block and MDT were recognised as significant achievements in the “Implant and Tissue-Replacement Product” category.

Along with showcasing our products, we’ll have some giveaways too, including our famous UOC USB! Pop along to collect yours.

Save the date for our 3rd European Conference

Don’t forget that we will be hosting out 3rd European Conference between the 26th and 28th September at the River Lee hotel in Cork, Ireland. The event will showcase talks around technological advances in the industry and feature presentations by leading speakers, so it’s not to be missed.

Cork City is Ireland’s Second largest city, with Dublin the capital being the largest. Cork is famous for many things, including being home to the first factory that Ford Motor Company built outside of America, which is where Henry Ford’s ancestors came from. Another famous landmark is Blarney Castle. Popular myth denotes that kissing the Blarney Stone at the top of the Castle will bestow the kisser with the “gift of gab” (great eloquence, or skills of flattery).

Cork has always been an important seaport. It began on an island in the swampy estuary of the River Lee (the name Corcaigh means a marsh), and gradually climbed up the steep banks on either side.
