USTAR II™

Rotating Hinge Knee Revision Prosthesis

The USTAR II™ Next-generation Rotating Hinge Knee Prosthesis, designed for optimal distribution of condylar load. It features a pre-assembled low-profile hinge mechanism, centered on the femur and tibia. The femur/tibia connection is achieved through a single per-operative screw. The system presents a reduced femoral cage to preserve bone.

Description

A next-generation hinge knee system with a new pre-assembled hinge mechanism, the USTAR II Rotating Hinge Knee (RH) is designed for extensive knee joint reconstruction.

Based on over 20 years of clinical experience with the 1st generation USTAR system, the USTAR II hinge knee is part of the United Orthopedic product family designed for challenging primary and revision knee options.

Smooth transition for different surgical scenarios

Perioperative surgical flexibility to convert the semi-constrained knee into an articulated knee or even a limb-saving megaprosthesis with similar instrumentation concepts.

The surgeon can determine the level of constraint required before preparing the femoral box and finalizing the tibial preparation.
