Pixee Medical develops surgical navigation solutions using an innovative tracking tool. Thanks to proprietary algorithms, a simple camera installed in a smartphone or smart glasses is able to locate objects in a 3D space with millimetric precision. This tool complies with medical regulatory requirements; it is easy to use and offers excellent value for money compared to other tracking solutions used in the medical field.
Biotechni is a French manufacturer of orthopaedic implants, specialising in hip, shoulder, and spine surgery. Italian-based company Orthokey has now introduced the Perseus hand-held cutting guide. Perseus is the smartest cutting guide for TKA. Perseus is a small hand-held gyro-powered axis finder that supports surgeons in the correct alignment of femoral distal and proximal tibial cuts, avoiding the use of an intramedullary rod. Through an easy iPad-based interface Perseus guides the surgeon to align the cuts towards the defined targets.
