Bone cements allow local antibiotherapy. Gentamicin , issued from family of aminosides, has a broad spectrum and is effective against most of the bacteria encountered. The quantity of gentamicin contained in one dose of cement has been optimised to guarantee a long term release to cure or prevent infections.

Indications

JOINTFIX 1G & 3G are indicated for fixation of prosthesis to living bone in arthroplasty procedures or joint reconstruction following trauma, in primary and revision surgeries.
