The femoral component of U2 MBC is using criciate-retained (CR) type that intends to minimize bone cutting. The central stopper of the MBC insert enhances M/L stability while allowing 4.5 degrees hyperextension. U2 MBC knee adopted the basic cutting concept of U2 Knee System that is based on Anterior Reference System. The flexion and extension gaps of the distal femur can be prepared by choosing 0° or 3° external rotation to maintain the parallelism of femur in flexion and extension. Resection references for the tibia can be chosen regarding the use of Intramedullary Alignment or Extramedullary Alignment. Moreover, the instruments used for the preparation of the patella are designed to accurately restore the patellar thickness.
